Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD

The 2025 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD is already making waves in the heavy-duty market. From the high-powered 6.6L engine options to the exciting tech features, check out why drivers are choosing the new Silverado 2500.

Heavy-Duty Dominance: The 2025 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD

Performance
The Silverado 2500 comes with a 6.6L V8 gas engine that generates 401 horsepower at 5200 rpm and 464 lb.-ft. of torque at 4000 rpm. If you’re in need of a more powerful performance, the available 6.6L Duramax Turbo-Diesel V8 engine produces 470 horsepower at 2800 rpm and 975 lb.-ft. of torque at 1600 rpm.
Both Silverado 2500 engines work alongside an Allison 10-speed automatic transmission that’s electronically controlled with overdrive for smooth-shifting performance. The Allison 10-speed transmission comes with Tow/Haul mode that reduces shift cycling for better control and improved cooling during the towing and hauling process.

Exterior
The new Silverado 2500 is a perfect truck for work thanks to features like the CornerStep rear bumper. This bumper has hollow spaces located at each corner with textured foot pads inside, offering the perfect space to insert your foot for more stability when accessing your cargo box. Cab-mounted cargo area lamps, vertical trailering mirrors, and twelve cargo tie-downs are just a few additional exterior features that make the workday easier.

Towing
Towing is a breeze in the 2025 Silverado 2500, especially if you upgrade to the 6.6L Duramax engine. This engine offers a maximum towing capacity of 22,070 pounds. The Chevrolet Trailering Package provides everything you need to tow large trailers, including a 2.5-inch receiver hitch, a 7-wire electrical harness, and 4-pin and 7-pin connectors.
With the Hitch Guidance feature, you can even view your trailer and hitch while you’re driving. Hitch Guidance uses a rear vision camera to display your trailer and hitch on an in-cabin screen. Hitch Guidance also makes the attachment process easier by showing you a digital line to align the trailer and hitch perfectly.

Seating
The new Silverado 2500 has seating for up to six passengers. There’s a 40/20/40 split bench in the front that comes with an under-seat storage compartment and a 60/40 split bench in the back that can be folded upwards to create more cargo room.

Safety
OnStar Basics provides added peace of mind in the new Silverado 2500, with features like remote commands, built-in voice assistance, GPS navigation, and Automatic Crash Response. Other safety features of the Silverado 2500 include Teen Driver, Forward Collision Alert, Buckle to Drive, and Lane Departure Warning.

Technology
Inside the 2025 Silverado 2500, there’s a 7-inch Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration. Use these features to connect your smartphone to the truck and with voice command pass-through, you can make hands-free phone calls while driving.
